Where to Watch the Tesla Roadster Flying Video

Tesla's own video of the flying Roadster is the livestream it ran on its X account on Oct 15, 2026. The broadcast started at 5:55 pm PT (8:55 pm ET), and Shacknews reported it would stay viewable as a replay afterwards (Shacknews). Most other clips going around are cuts of that stream, or AI remakes with someone's own car.

RoadsterAI makes AI clips of your car from photos. It is not Tesla and has no Tesla footage.

Where to Watch It

  • Tesla's X post. Tesla posted "Roadster event livestream" from its @Tesla account on Oct 15, 2026, and the broadcast ran from that post (Tesla on X). When we checked on Oct 18, the post was still up and marked the broadcast as ended.
  • Replay. Shacknews said the stream would be viewable as a replay once it finished (Shacknews). Shacknews named no stream other than X, and we have not confirmed an official copy anywhere else.
  • Short clips. The flip and the jump are also cut into short clips on news sites and social apps. Check where a clip comes from: a car that is not Tesla's prototype is not from the demo.

What Happens in the Video

Pieced together from the reports. The prototype had no one inside (CNN), and the event took place at a SpaceX test site in McGregor, Texas, near Waco (CNBC).

  1. The car drives up a ramp that curls over

Held on by fans and compressed-air thrusters, it climbs until it is driving upside down (TechCrunch).

Watch out: This is the moment most short clips start from.

  2. It rolls over in mid-air

It leaves the ramp, rolls over in the air and lands on its wheels (CBS News).

Watch out: How the thrusters do it is explained on our how does the Roadster fly page.

  3. It jumps over a line of Teslas

In a second run it jumps over a row of Tesla vehicles, including a Semi (InsideEVs).

Watch out: It hops rather than flies: Snopes notes there was no sustained flight over a longer distance (Snopes).

Is the Flying Video Real?

Tesla's demo footage is real: Snopes rated it True (Snopes). The full fact-check, with every dated source, is on our is the Tesla Roadster video real page, so we do not repeat it here.
