Privacy Policy | RoadsterAI
This version applies from 17 October 2026.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains which information RoadsterAI collects when you use the flying-car video template at roadsterai.video (the "Service"), and how we use, share, store and protect it.
2. Information We Collect and Process
What we hold depends on the parts of the Service you use. The main categories are:
- Account information: name, email address, sign-in identifiers, profile fields, preferences and session records.
- Generation information: the photo of you and your car that you upload as the reference, the template, model and settings you choose, the videos produced, job status, your creation history and the times of each step.
- Payment and subscription information: the plan or credit pack purchased, your credit balance, order references, whether a payment went through, the billing email, invoice details, renewal status and limited payment metadata. Card numbers are taken by the payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages and features you open, request times, error reports, performance measurements and signals that help us detect abuse.
- Communications: anything you send to support, content reports, privacy requests, feedback and later replies.
- Cookies and similar technologies: data that keeps you signed in, protects sessions, remembers language or display choices, measures usage and makes core features work.
3. How We Use Information
Your information is used so that we can:
- Operate the video template, your account, creation history, subscriptions and credits
- Verify you at sign-in, keep your session active and help you recover access
- Pass your uploaded photo and the instructions of the chosen template to the selected video model, and return the finished clip
- Process payments, add or deduct credits, produce invoices and handle cancellations or refunds
- Detect prohibited content, fraud, security incidents and misuse
- Investigate failed renders, monitor page speed, understand which settings people use and improve the Service
- Respond to support, content, legal and privacy requests
- Comply with legal duties and enforce our Terms of Service
Which legal basis applies depends on your region. Usually it is our contract with you; sometimes it is our legitimate interest in keeping the Service working and safe, a legal duty we have to meet, or, where the law asks for it, your consent.
4. Photos and the Clips You Generate
Uploaded photos, chosen settings and generated outputs are processed so that the selected model can render your clip. For this purpose they may be sent to third-party AI model, hosting, storage and safety providers. The Service currently uses one model family: ByteDance Seedance video models (shown in the maker as Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5), reached through the API provider Kie. Text-to-video and image generation are not part of the Service. We will update this list if models are added or replaced.
A photo that shows a face is used only as the visual reference for the render you ask for. We do not create facial-recognition templates from it or use it to identify anyone. Upload only pictures of yourself or of adults who agreed to appear in a clip, and do not upload confidential material or personal data you have no right to share. Automated safety systems may check uploaded photos and generated outputs for prohibited content and abuse.
5. Cookies and Analytics
Strictly necessary cookies or similar storage keep you signed in, protect your account and run core features. We may also use preference and analytics tools to remember your settings, count how features are used, find slow pages and improve the Service.
You can control most cookies in your browser. Blocking the essential ones will normally sign you out and stop the maker from working. Where consent is legally required for non-essential analytics, we ask before turning those tools on.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share only what each party needs:
- AI and content-safety providers that process uploaded photos and outputs for the selected model or for safety review
- Cloud hosting and storage providers that run the Service and hold uploaded and generated media
- Payment providers that handle purchases, subscriptions, refunds, fraud checks and tax or billing obligations. Waffo Pancake is one example; the checkout page names whichever provider handles your order
- Sign-in, email, analytics, monitoring and support providers that help us run and secure the Service
- Authorities or other parties when law or legal process requires it, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect users, rights, safety or the integrity of the Service
- A successor organization if the Service is part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or asset sale, with suitable safeguards
Our contracts with these providers restrict them to the specific job we hired them for and require them to protect the data and keep it private.
7. Data Retention
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, keep your history, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory duties.
- Account and generation information may be kept while your account is open or while history features stay enabled.
- Uploaded photos and generated clips may remain in your history or in the storage required to deliver the Service.
- Billing and transaction records may be kept for the periods set by tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention and dispute rules.
- Security logs and support records may be kept for a reasonable period based on operational and legal needs.
After we verify a request to delete data or close an account, eligible personal data is deleted or de-identified within 30 calendar days. Encrypted backups may persist for up to 90 more days before the backup cycle overwrites them. A limited set of records may be kept longer when needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, chargebacks, dispute resolution or the defence of legal rights.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your local law, you may have some or all of these rights:
- Know which kinds of personal data we collect, how we use them and who receives them
- Access your personal data or get a copy of it
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete account details
- Ask for eligible personal data to be deleted and your account closed
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Get certain data in a structured file that other services can read
- Withdraw consent where processing depends on it
- Opt out of promotional email while still receiving receipts and security notices
- Lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live
How to exercise your rights
Send your request to support@roadsterai.video using the email address linked to your account, and put Privacy Request or Account Deletion Request in the subject line. Say whether you want access, correction, export, restriction, objection, account closure or deletion, and identify the account or data involved.
We may ask for reasonable information to confirm it is you, so that we do not reveal or delete someone else's data. Eligible requests are confirmed and completed within 30 calendar days of receipt. If the law allows extra time for a complex request, we will tell you why and give a new completion date. You can change your name and some other profile fields yourself in Settings.
Closing an account does not erase payment, security, fraud and dispute records that we must keep by law, or legitimately need, to protect the Service and its users.
9. International Data Transfers
The Service and its providers may handle information outside your country of residence. Where required, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as contractual clauses, recognized adequacy mechanisms and access controls.
10. Security
Information is protected with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards: traffic is encrypted, access is limited to people who need it, credentials are protected, activity is logged, and content-safety and anti-abuse checks run where they make sense. No online service can guarantee complete security.
If we become aware of a personal-data incident that must be reported by law, we will inform affected users and the relevant authorities within the legally required time.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. You must also meet any higher minimum age required by the laws that apply to you. Photos of minors may not be uploaded. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete eligible data.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to or work with third-party services, including the social platforms where you share your clips. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with information, and this policy does not cover data they collect on their own.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, our providers or the law change. The new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top, and we will give extra notice of material changes where the law requires it.
14. Contact Information
