How to Make the Roadster Ramp AI Video

You need one photo of your car. The Roadster Ramp template turns it into a 12-second vertical AI clip: your car climbs a tall curved ramp at night, runs upside down over the top, flips once, fires four thrusters and drops into a cloud of smoke.

Both templates are open now, from 10 credits a clip.

Example Clips Made With RoadsterAI

AI example: A 5-second test render of an unbadged car on the ramp. The finished template makes 12 seconds; this is not Tesla footage.

What Is the Roadster Ramp Trend?

It copies one moment from Tesla's Oct 15, 2026 Roadster reveal: an unmanned prototype drove up an upside-down ramp, flipped off it and landed on its wheels. That was a real car on a real ramp, not AI, and our fact-check page lists the dated news reports.

The AI version puts your own car through a similar stunt. Nothing is filmed: the clip is generated from your photo, so your caption should say it is AI-generated.

How to Make It, Step by Step

These are the steps on the Roadster Ramp template page.

  1. Take or pick one photo of your car

Shoot the whole car in daylight, from behind or from a rear three-quarter angle, with nothing else in front of it.

Watch out: The tail lights face the camera for most of the clip, so a rear shot keeps them closest to your car. The AI has to rebuild any side the photo does not show.

  2. Open the Roadster Ramp template

Go to the Roadster Ramp page and add the photo. There is no prompt to write: the stunt is already built into the template.

Watch out: You need to be signed in to render.

  3. Choose the model and resolution

    A 12-second clip costs 10 credits at 480p or 22 credits at 720p on Seedance 2.0 Mini, 20 or 44 on Seedance 2.5.

Watch out: If a render fails, the credits come back on their own.

  4. Wait for the render and download

Rendering takes several minutes. You get a 12-second, 9:16 MP4 with engine, wind and thruster sounds.

Watch out: There is no music, so you can add your own track in your editing app before you post.

  5. Post it as an AI clip

Upload it to TikTok, Reels or Shorts and say in the caption that it is AI-generated.

Watch out: Never present it as real footage of Tesla's car or of a real stunt.

What Happens in the 12 Seconds

The template is built around this order of events, at night on a dark set with one tall curved ramp:

  • A low shot from behind your car at the foot of the ramp, then it launches.
  • A wide shot as it races up the ramp until it is driving straight up.
  • It follows the curl over the top and runs upside down along the lip.
  • It leaves the ramp and turns one full flip back to wheels-down.
  • Only then do four thrusters under the car fire straight down, and it hovers.
  • It sinks into a big cloud of white smoke and drives out of it.

Photo Checklist

  • One car, all of it. No cropped bumpers or mirrors.
  • Rear or rear three-quarter angle. A front-only shot works, but the rear is then rebuilt by the AI.
  • Daylight, no heavy shadows. The paint colour in the clip comes from the photo.
  • No people or other cars in front. They can confuse which vehicle to use.
  • Badges and plates do not matter. The template leaves badges, emblems and lettering off and keeps the plate blank.
